OSC's Computer-Based Training (CBT) Information

OSC provides NCAS users with two computer-based training modules (CBTs): NCAS Basics and Information Access.  Many of OSC's training courses  require one or more of these CBTs as a prerequisite.

In the past CBTs were transferred to the majority of agency servers automatically.  To locate a CBT, search your shared drives for a directory/folder named NCAS.  Under this directory there should be a NCAS_app directory.  Inside of this directory, there should be a CBT directory.  Inside of this directory, there are four folders representing each of the CBTs.  To install a CBT on your local machine, open the folder of the CBT you need and double-click on the the setup.exe file located inside.

If you can not find the CBTs on your LAN, please contact your System Administrator for help.  If you have talked to your SA or if you are the SA and are having problems, contact OSC for more assistance.  The OSC Support Services Center phone number is 919-875-HELP.

After completing the CBTs, you will need to fax a completed copy of the CBT Completion Form  to the OSC Training Coordinator at 919-981-5561.
