RMDS Changes(5/7/99)
OSC is enhancing user access to the trial balance reports available through RMDS. Beginning Monday, May 17, the RMDS groups MOPRE(MOCUR)-7 BX TOT/TRIAL BAL will be replaced by four new groups. The new RMDS groups and their contents are listed below:
 
 

MOPRE(MOCUR)-7 BUDGET FUND TB	Budget Code Trial Balance Report  Center Trial Balance Report
MOPRE(MOCUR)-7 BOX TOTALS	Box Totals Report
MOPRE(MOCUR)-7 COMPANY FUND TB	Company Trial Balance Report  Company FUnd Trial Balance Report
MOPRE(MOCUR)-7 GASB FUND TB	GASB Trial Balance  GASB Fund Trial Balance

These new RMDS groups display the summary trial balance report followed by the fund level report by primary key. For example, MOPRE-7 BUDGET FUND TB will display reports in the order

• Budget Code Trial Balance for budget code 1
• Center Trial Balance for budget code 1
• Budget Code Trial Balance for budget code 2
• Center Trial Balance for budget code 2

Repeal of State Sales Tax on Food (5/6/99)
Effective May 1, 1999, the State sales tax on food is repealed.  The repeal applies to sales made on or after that date and applies to the State tax only. Purchasers of food will continue to be subject to the applicable local sales and use tax. Therefore, effective May 1, 1999, food which could be purchased under the Food Stamp Program, but is not purchased under that program will be exempt from the State tax and subject to only the 2% local sales tax.
