RACF Change (11/24/99)

OSC currently prints all NCAS report bundles from RMDS. These bundles need to be converted to the new SYSTEMWARE reporting system by December 8. In order for OSC to continue printing NCAS reports for an agency, the agency must set up a RACF rule that will provide OSC with `update' authority to the RACF user-id that is currently assigned to the agency's RMDS bundling process. Agencies have the option to decline this new procedure and have their SYSTEMWARE Administrators begin printing the NCAS reports. Those agencies preferring to leave this responsibility with OSC must contact their RACF administrator to create the following RACF rule for the user id:

dept.USR.#.U$.userid.*.** (where `dept' = your department code, and `user-id' = the RACF user-id assigned to RMDS bundling)

The RACF group that needs to have update authority is, OSCXPTR. This rule will give OSC administrators the ability to update the user's definition in SYSTEMWARE. It remains the responsibility of the agency to enter the address for the user's definitions in SYSTEMWARE. Please notify your RACF Administrator of this required change as soon as possible. If this security enhancement is not implemented by December 14, 1999, printing of NCAS reports will cease. Please call OSC's Help Desk at 875-HELP when this update has been completed, or if you have any questions. Thanks for your assistance.
