Disclosures about Year 2000 Resources Committed |
On October 14, 1998, the GASB issued a final technical bulletin which is effective for financial statements with auditor reports dated after October 31, 1998, and is terminated for financial statements for periods ending after December 31, 1999, unless there are still instances of non-compliance. Each agency/university should report the amount of formal contractual commitments for purchasing consulting services, or replacing or updating computer systems, software and other electronic equipment, as of June 30, 1998, for the primary purpose of becoming Year 2000 compliant, excluding amounts reported as liabilities at June 30, 1998.
Amounts should include only amounts that the agency/university is responsible for funding.
