SUBJECT:   Buyer Action Reports on RMDS

The daily Buyer Action Reports (PS-P1200 and PS-P1220) currently are located in Bundle MM120-2 (PS DAILY REPORTS) on RMDS. These reports are bundled in with the Held Receipts Report, the Receipt Exceptions Report and the Purchasing Daily Activity Report.

The Buyer Action Reports provide buyers with various expediting messages, as well as notices of past due receipts, late RFQ responses, unallocated requisition quantities and funds checking exceptions, to name just a few. With the implementation of the EFF, these reports will become even more important to agency purchasing personnel. In order to allow buyers to access these reports more efficiently in the future, the Office of the State Controller (OSC) will move the Buyer Action Reports to their own RMDS bundle effective January 6, 1997. They will be located in bundle MM120-6 (PS BUYER ACTION).

The OSC will continue to review the NCAS for additional opportunities to improve users access to vital information. As we become aware of these opportunities, we will pass them along to the NCAS user community. If you have any suggestions for improving the purchasing process or reporting, please feel free to express your ideas to us.
