| SUBJECT: | Transmittal Control Totals |
The ten-page and final control totals on the February, 2000 payroll transmittal were overstated because of a program glitch. Since some agencies had already begun keying, we were unable to rerun the payroll transmittal in a production mode. We have enclosed a new one part payroll transmittal having correct ten-page and final control totals, which was run on a TEST BASIS. DO NOT USE THIS TEST TRANSMITTAL EXCEPT AS LISTED BELOW.
- The test transmittal has the correct beginning control amounts.
- Subtract the TEN PAGE and FINAL TOTALS (on the test transmittal) from the beginning TEN- PAGE and FINAL TOTALS as listed on the transmittal that was received by your agency earlier. This will provide you with a overstated difference for the TEN-PAGE and FINAL CONTROL TOTAL..
- Use the overstated difference calculated in step two above to reduce the PAYROLL TOTALS that you send to us.
