Returning Inventory by Pick List Step-by-Step

From the Inventory module:

If your warehouse does not use the automatic shipment function, you must first return the items to the staging area via the Order Shipment (OS) screen.
 

1. Type OS for the Order Shipment (OS) screen in the NEXT FUNCTION field. 
2. Type the internal replenishment or usage order number in the second KEYS field. 
3. Optional: Type the order number suffix in the third KEYS field. 
4. Press ENTER. 
5. Type R for reversal and reopen in the CODE field corresponding to the item being returned.
6. Type the quantity being returned in the SHIPPED QUANTITY field.
7. Type the staging area to which the items are being returned in the STAGING AREA field. 
    Note: Leave the UNIT COST field blank. A value will default to this field. 
8. Repeat Steps 5-7 until you have recorded all the lines you wish to return. 
9.  Press ENTER. 
    If your warehouse does use the automatic shipment function, items can be returned directly to the storage area. Therefore, you will not need to perform Steps 1-8. Begin with Step 9.
10. Type RIP for the Return Inventory By Pick List (RIP) screen in the NEXT FUNCTION field. 
11. Type the internal replenishment or usage order number in the second KEYS field. 
12. Optional: Type the order number suffix in the third KEYS field. 
13. Press ENTER. 
14. Type C for complete return or P for partial return in the PICK STS field corresponding to the item being returned. 
15. Type the quantity of the item being returned in the RETURN QUANTITY field. 
    Note: Leave the UNIT COST field blank. A value will default to this field. 
16. Repeat steps 14-15 until you have recorded all the lines you wish to return. 
17. Press ENTER.
