Ensure that the printer
is off! |

Insert the signature cartridge
in the rear cartridge slot on the right side of the printer. Firmly seat
the cartridge in the slot. |

Insert the font cartridge
in the front cartridge slot on the right side of the printer. Firmly seat
the cartridge in the slot. |

| a. |
Fan the white 8 1/2 x 11
inch paper. |
| b. |
Push the upper paper tray’s
spring load down. |
| c. |
Load the upper paper tray
with this paper. |

| a. |
Look at the check stock
to see if any pages are turned the wrong way. |
| b. |
Fan the blue end. |
| c. |
Fan the white end with the
seal. |
| d. |
Push the lower paper tray’s
spring load down. |
| e. |
Load the lower paper tray
with the check stock face down, and withthe blue check edge facing into
the printer. |

| 6. |
Turn on the printer power
switch located on the front left side of the printer.
Note: The following
message will be displayed on the printer display: LOGON 0 PASSWORD = 0.
The light beside the lock
icon will be illuminated. |

Type your printer password
number as follows:
| a. |
Press the Reset button
until the [first] digit of your password number is displayed. (The Reset
button acts as an up arrow key, and showsincreasing number digits. The
Test button acts as a down arrow key, and shows decreasing number
digits.) |
| b. |
Press the ENTER button.
An * will now be displayed in place of the digit. |
| c. |
Repeat Steps 7a and 7b for
the remaining five digits. |
Note: If your password
number is correct, the following will occur:
-
The light beside the lock icon
will go off.
-
The message LJII READY TRAY
1 will be displayed.
-
An arrow will also appear in
the printer display, indicating that the printer is online.
If the password number is incorrect,
retype the correct password number.
If your third attempt to
type your password number fails, then the Alternate should make three attempts.
If the Alternate’s third attempt fails, then contact the OSC Help Desk
(919-875-HELP). |
