Generating a Standard PO: Using Method 2 of the Req-to-PO Process Step-by-Step

After sourcing the requisition lines in your buyers queue:
 

1.  Type SRS in the ACT field or the NEXT FUNCTION field and press ENTER to access the Split Requisition Selection (SRS) screen. 
2. Type your paying entity (XXPT) and press ENTER to display a list of split requisitions that meet the search criteria. 
To create the PO header for the first split:
 
3. Type H in the PO HEADER OR LINE field next to the first split and press ENTER to access the PH1 screen. 
4. Type the appropriate value in the SERVICE field to indicate that this is a service type order.  
    S         flat fee contractual services  
    G        goods or services with a unit price per quantity 
5. Type X (or any other character) in the DISPLAY DEFAULTS field. 
6. Type the ship-via code in the SHIP-VIA-CODE field. 
7. Type the freight in the FOB CODE field.
8. Type the payment terms in the PAYMENT TERMS field and press ENTER. If there are no validation errors, the system will display the following message: ALL FIELDS ARE CORRECT
9. Review all default data to make sure that it is applicable to this transaction. Any of the data can be changed at this time. 
10. Press ENTER to continue to the PL1 screen. 

To create a PO line for the first requisition line:
 

11. Type X (or any other character) in the DSP DEFAULTS field and press ENTER. If no errors are found, the system will display the following message: ALL FIELDS ARE CORRECT
12. Review all of the data to make sure it is correct, especially the price. Enter the correct price as necessary. 
13. Press ENTER to access the Requisition to Purchase Order (RTP) screen.  

Note:  The RTP screen will display only if additional lines remain to be sourced to the vendor on the current PO. 

 
To create a PO line for additional requisition lines:
 
14. Type X (or any other character) in the S column next to the line for the next sourced requisition line and press ENTER to access the PL1 screen.
15. Type X (or any other character) in the DSP DEFAULTS field and press ENTER. The data entered is validated. If no errors are found, the system will display the following message: ALL FIELDS ARE CORRECT
16. Verify all data on the screen and press ENTER to record the purchase order line and return to the RTP screen. 
17. Repeat steps 14 through 16 until all lines on the RTP screen have been converted to lines on the current PO.
