Checking Available Funds
Although the process for funds checking occurs automatically during the PO process, you may want to manually check an accounting distribution. The process for checking funds is consistent across the state, however, agencies have individual procedures for handling insufficient funds.
After signing on:
1. Type .BC in the action field on any screen and press Enter to access the Budgetary Control Menu (001) screen. (You must type the period.) 2. Type 161 in the next function field and press Enter to access the Available Funds Inquiry (161) screen. 3. Type your company number in the company field. 4. Type the account number in the account field. 5. Type the center number in the center field and press Enter to access the Available Funds Inquiry (162) screen. 6. Check the available balance to ensure that sufficient funds exist.
