Changing Your North Carolina Accounting System Password Step-by-Step

You have a password that is linked with your User ID (your RACF ID) and a password that is linked with your Operator ID. The first time you access the system, you will use passwords that have been assigned to you.

These passwords should be changed immediately. You will be prompted to change the password for the RACF ID every 90 days. However, once you change the password for the Operator ID, you will not be required to change it again (unless you choose to change it.)

On the CICS Screen

1. TAB to the NEW PASSWORD field and type a new password. The message Re-enter new password for verification will appear and your cursor will move back to the beginning of this field.
2. Retype the new password in the NEW PASSWORD field and press ENTER. This will be the password you use the next time you sign on.

On the North Carolina Accounting System screen

1. TAB to the NEW PASSWORD field and type a new password
2. TAB to the VERIFY field.
3.  Type the new password in the VERIFY field and press ENTER. This will be the password you use the next time you sign on.
