If the automatic picking and the automatic shipment functions are both selected when processing a usage order, the order is recorded as picked, posted, shipped and closed as soon as items areallocated to the usage order in the NCAS. In other words, the NCAS will automatically process the usage order from allocation to closing. Therefore, when automatic picking and automatic shipment are both selected, you will not need to use the Post Picking Activity (PPA), Pick List Close Out Request (PLC), Order Shipment (OS) and Usage Order Close (UOC) screens to process orders. The warehouse manager should, however, ensure that the physical activities of picking and shipping are completed and that the physical activities match the recorded activities. If the physical activity does not match the recorded activity, you must make the necessary adjustments to the recorded activity.
