Releasing and Allocating an Internal Replenishment Order

Once an internal replenishment order has been created, it must be approved. You will learn more about the approval process in the Approving Replenishment Orders section. After approval, an internal replenishment order must be released and allocated. An order is released when the ordering warehouse submits the order to the central warehouse to be filled. An order is allocated when the central warehouse receives the order and sets aside stock to fill it. These processes can be accomplished with one of two methods: auto-release and allocation or real-time release and allocation.
