Recording Shipping Activity

As soon as a pick is posted to the NCAS, the items that have been picked are moved from their online storage areas to their online staging areas. From their online staging areas, items can then be recorded as shipped via the Order Shipment (OS) screen.

When processing orders manually, overshipments, short shipments and partial shipments must be recorded in the NCAS on the Order Shipment (OS) screen. When you try to process an overshipment or a short shipment on the Order Shipment (OS) screen, you will receive a warning message alerting you that the quantity of the item being shipped is not equal to the quantity of the item posted as picked. You can handle this warning in one of two ways:

Once shipping activity is recorded, item balance updates immediately occur.
